2009 Ford Fiesta Driving Video

2009 Ford FiestaEven though Ford took the wraps off the next-generation Fiesta back in March at the Geneva Motor Show, this is actually the first driving footage we’ve seen of the rakishly styled supermini. Video: 2009 Ford Focus RS vs First-Gen Focus RS

Car Magazine’s Chris Chilton had the opportunity to take the awesome first generation Focus RS for a quick spin along with the man who’s responsible for the development of both RS models, Ford Team RS chief, Jost Capito. The two then headed back to Ford’s studio to compare the Focus RS Mk1 with the new 300HP Focus RS that made its official debut at the British Motor Show earlier this month.

Capito says that the new Focus RS will probably be about half-a-minute faster than the old RS on the Nurburgring race track. While we didn’t find an official time for the Focus RS Mk1, we did discover that Sport Auto lapped the ‘Ring with the old RS in 9’05’’. However, we shouldn’t make any hasty conclusions as the new RS is still under development. You can read all the details and see our high-resolution image gallery on the 2009 Focus RS by clicking here or just follow the jump to see the video. -Continued

Along with a set of photos (see here), FoMoCo has also released a video of the future Mustang coupe that lead the parade at this weekend’s Road America vintage car race in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The ‘Stang prototype was heavily camouflaged so don’t expect to see all the details of the next-generation model. However, no need to worry as the new Mustang is expected to make its global debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this November. -Video after the jump

Videos: Ford Fiesta Love Factory Viral Campaign

In an attempt to gear up interest for the forthcoming Fiesta, Ford has created a new viral campaign for its new subcompact hatch dubbed “Fiesta Love Factory”. The campaign that began today with the colorful transformation of Ford’s factory in Cologne (see here) continues with a series of videos illustrating the theme "Ford Fiesta created with love”. In our opinion, we’d have preferred to see this campaign on the new Ka, as the whole concept is a bit too playful and feminine for a dynamic model like the 2009 Fiesta. -Videos after the jump

Sensual Saleen Mustang Video Ad

This TV spot from Texan Ford dealer “Middlekauff” is ineptly entitled “Sex Sells Saleen.” To be honest, we don’t know for sure whether or not the advert actually aired on any TV stations -our readers can help us on this one. Although we liked the girls that participated in the ad, we could have done without the cuts that run throughout the whole duration of the video. See the advert right after the jump

2009 Ford Ka Appears in New James Bond Movie Trailer

The vehicle you see in these blurry images that we managed to snap from a behind-the-scenes video of James Bond’s forthcoming film titled “Quantum of Solace” (scheduled to hit movie theaters on November 7, 2008) is the 2009 Ford Ka. As many of you might already know, Ford Motor Company has a deal with the producers of the James Bond series to show off its vehicles in 007’s movies.

Ford’s new Euro baby car will be officially launched at the forthcoming Paris Auto Show this September. The 2009 Ka is being built as part of a co-operation deal between Ford and Fiat and it’s based on the same platform as the successful Fiat 500. According to Ford’s the new Ka will not share any visible parts with its Italian sister car. –See more pictures of the 2009 Ka along with the video after the jump

Video: Ford V8 Race Car Playing Waltzing Matilda Tune

This is an awesomely cool video featuring Australian V8 Supercar driver James Courtney playing the Waltzing Matilda tune with the throttle of a Ford V8 race car. In case you don’t know, Waltzing Matilda is Australia’s most widely known folk song, and one that has been proposed by many as the country’s unofficial national anthem. –Check out the video after the jump

Ad: Ford Focus Turned Into Musical Instruments!

In Ford’s latest European advertising campaign, Hollywood film composer Craig Richey and New York sound designer Bill Milbrodt took apart a brand-new Focus and assembled with the parts 31 different musical instruments. Each instrument has a name that instantly identified its origins, such as the Transmission Case Cello-Dulcimer, Clutch Guitar, Rear Suspension Spike Fiddle, Fender Bass, Hatchback Kick Drum, Handheld Gear Tambourine and Door Harp. –Check out the video right after the jump

“When we got it to the mechanics shop, it had less than a mile on the clock. We took the doors and fenders off, but we had the body shell intact and we later cut out of that the parts we wanted,” said Bill Milbrodt.

Videos: Ford Trucks Are Built Tough So Only True Men Allowed

In Ford’s new F-Series viral campaign, “Built Ford Tough” (BFT) is a mantra for truck and owner alike, meaning only true men can drive a Ford truck. But what’s the definition of a man? While in our books that might be someone who honors his words or never betrays his beliefs, according to Ford, an (F-series) man is someone who doesn’t carry roller luggage, eat meat substitutes or drink Starbucks coffee

Dying way of thinking for a dying category of vehicles if you ask us, but nevertheless, we must say that we enjoyed all three videos of the BFT campaign even if we’ll never meet the standards of an F-Series man. All three clips show BFT cops searching for Ford truck owners that have broken one of the F-Series' "man laws".

Ford F-Series 10 Amendments

  1. NO ROLLER LUGGAGE
  2. NO SCOOTERS
  3. NO PUNY DOGS
  4. NO MEAT SUBSTITUTES
  5. NO PINK SHIRTS
  6. NO FANCY COFFEE
  7. NO FANNY PACKS
  8. NO CUTESY CELL PHONE RINGS
  9. NO MANICURES
  10. NO HAIR PRODUCTS

We finally managed to find a video of the 1929 Ford Model A with the 250 HP rally-bred 2.0-liter Cosworth engine that we first told you about a couple of days ago (click here). And boy does this fully restored classic sound angry! Created by the Mäkelä Auto-Tuning company (MAT) that’s based in Finland, this one-of-a-kind retro sleeper can go from naught to 62 mph (100 km/h) in a mere 5,0 sec while it can reach -if you dare that is, a top speed of 124 mph or 200 km/h. -Follow the jump for the video

Video: 2008 Ford Mustang Dream Commercial

According to Ford, every man dreams of owning a Mustang at some point in his life. Too bad for the chap in ad that’s performing power-slides and burnouts in the ’08 Mustang, that he’s literally dreaming about it. At least he ends up with both the car and a gal in the end. –Video after the jump

Video: 2008 Knight Rider Official Teaser Trailer

NBC aired the first official teaser trailer of the new Knight Rider TV movie during the Sunday Night Football show. Even though we missed out on it, the guys at Knight Rider Online managed to capture the 15 seconds long trailer and upload the short video on Youtube. Nothing special since we’ve already seen the new Shelby Mustang GT500 KR based KITT (SEE HERE) but we do get the chance to hear for the first time the synthesized voice of Will Arnett saying, "Hello Mike."

Video: Ford Verve Concept

Deemed as one the most interesting concepts of this year’s Frankfurt Show, the Verve is what we all wish that next year’s production version of the Fiesta will look like. Of course, we’ll probably be like “duh” in 2008 when Ford takes the wraps of the new Fiesta covered in semi-colored bumpers and 14-inch wheels, but what else is new. In this official video, Ford Europe’s head of design, Martin Smith and his team, explain the philosophy behind the creation of the Verve Concept.

Video: Shelby GT500 Super Snake Audio Pleasure

Shelby’s 2008 GT500 Super Snake not only looks bad but it also sounds bad –better make that triple bad. While we might of missed the Woodward Dream Cruise, thanks to an onlooker a with a cell-phone (?) video cam at hand, we too can get the chance to see and most importantly, hear Shelby’s slithering 725Hp Super Snake rumble like a 1,000lb lion getting ready to attack.
