Geneva Video: 2009 Lancia Delta Presentation

Automakers have a tendency to create “mini Broadway shows” when presenting new cars to the members of the press. Lancia on its behalf, unveiled the all-new Delta under the sounds of an… opera band at the Geneva Auto Show. Leaving the presentation aside, the new Delta hatchback can be equipped with diesel and petrol turbo engines, with power outputs from 120 to 200 HP, and manual, robotised or automatic gearboxes. 2008 Lancia Delta HPE - Factory Scoop Video

A Fiat employee managed to take a short video clip of the upcoming Lancia Delta HPE’s body shell that was located somewhere in the Italian carmaker’s factory. From the looks of it, Lancia won’t stray too far away from the original concept that was previewed at the 2006 Paris Motorshow. The production version of the Delta HPE will make its official premier at the upcoming Geneva Show in March, with sales starting in Europe this summer. -Video after the jump

Video: Lancia Delta S4 Group B Rally Car

The Lancia Delta S4 was one of the most bad-ass cars that ever appeared in the history of rallying. It competed in the short lived Group B category of the World Rally Championship in 1985 and 1986. Despite its name and resemblance with Lancia’s hatch, the S4 shared nothing in terms of construction with the production front-engine Delta. The all-wheel drive S4 featured a mid-mounted 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine that utilized a supercharger and a turbocharger producing 550 HP (unofficially, more than 600 HP).
