Kudos to Novitec for creating one heck of a sleek looking bodykit and a cool set of alloy-wheels for the Alfa Romeo Spider. The tasteful and non intrusive bodykit consists of a new front bumper and rear diffuser cfombined with a new set of oval tailpipes and 20-inch alloy rims wrapped in Pirelli 255/30 R20 tires. Buyers can also opt for a lower-suspension kit to complete the roadster’s looks. With the SEMA show in full thrust, it’s all about tuning this week. However, time to take a break from all that SEMA madness and see what’s going around in Europe. Novitec presented a performance pack for the sport version of Fiat’s successful little mini hatch, the Panda.
The Panda Sport is already one of the nicest looking mini cars in its class (hey Hyundai, take a look at how you really design a contemporary mini), and with the addition of Novitec’s new blacked out alloy rims, a dual exhaust pipe and a roof spoiler, things only get better. Additionally, Novitec has slightly raised the 1.4-litre engine’s output from 100 to 106 Hp. -More pics after the jump
Not so sure about the eye-catching rear wing, but overall, Novitec Rosso’s sport package for the Ferrari 599 GTB that consists of a styling kit along with engine and suspension upgrades, receives a thumb up from us. The subtle exterior kit includes a front lower spoiler, side skirts with larger air intake openings, side flaps, rear wing and rear diffuser, LED tail-lamps and black side indicator. The 599 GTB also gets 20-inch type N3 wheels in the front and 21-inch in the rear with Pirelli P Zero 275/30 R20 and 355/25 R21 tires. -Continued after the jump
Thanks to the engine control unit upgrade and exhaust system with slightly larger 90mm dual tips, the 599 GTB’s V12 receives an additional 25hp pushing overall output to 645hp. For those still not satisfied, Novitec Rosso is developing a bigger power upgrade for the V12 which is expected to be released sometime in 2008.
As for handling, Novitec added an adjustable aluminum suspension manufactured by KW Automotive which allows ride height to be changed simply by pressing a button. Finally, the 599 GTB’s braking power has been upgraded with the addition of specially fabricated Brembo six piston calipers with 405mm brake discs on all four wheels.
If you know your stuff on Novitec then you’ll have noticed that the magic word here is “Evoluzione” which translates to an addition of 20Hp over the “stock” Novitec Ferrari F430 Bi-Compressor’s 636Hp. The German tuner managed to raise output to 656Hp by revising the compressor and updating the engine management system. Funny enough, the Evoluzione still retains the same performance figures as the stock version with 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) coming in 3,7 sec while maximum speed continues to stand at 216mph - 348 km/h.
